Spirit Lead Me...

When God shows us what He needs us to do, it can sometimes be a scary thing to step out in faith and know that He is leading the way.

I pray all the time that God will lead me exactly where my heart needs to be... Spirit Lead Me... to what my eyes need to see.... Spirit Lead Me... to what my ears need to hear... Spirit Lead Me.

It's so easy to let what He is trying to show us get jumbled up in all the noise of the outside world... because I have learned that the world will try to pull you in every single direction you will allow it to, but it's not the world my heart aims to please. When I really think about what we are all called to do, it's actually really, really simple... we are called to walk each other HOME.

Sometime last year, I was emailed by a local customer asking if I could make something special for her sister that was returning home from The World Race. She explained to me that her sister had just spent the last 11 months moving around 11 different countries serving in areas that even speaking God's name is taboo. 11 countries... spreading the Good News?!

I had so many immediate thoughts about it,  wow! that's amazing... and then whoa, how scary!....and then, honestly I could never do something like that now.

I'm just not called to travel all over the world right now or maybe ever, but that didn't keep the World Race and the work that these missionaries are doing off my mind. So, I prayed that God would use me however He saw fit and a little over a year later, Kristen, who you will meet in just a minute, stepped out on faith and told me about this "crazy idea" she had about me helping to do a fundraiser for her mission trip... the World Race. God just always gets it so right, doesn't He?

Meet Kristen and then keep reading to find out how you can help her on this journey that will, undoubtedly, walk so many souls home...

Hello! I'm Kristen, 26 years young, born and raised in Washington State.

I first went on a mission trip in 2012 to the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona. On the last night, we stood out under the stars in worship. It was the first time I had ever seen the Milky Way and received that first little whisper of "you were meant for missions". Since that trip, I've done two more short term mission trips.

Last fall, I was disappointed when a mission trip through my church fell through for the second time. Right about the same time, I had started following a girl on Instagram. Sounds cheesy, right? But it was life changing. I finally decided to see what her silly hashtag "#11n11" meant. Turns out, it's this incredible mission trip called the World Race. I immediately had a gut instinct that this is where God was calling me. I never thought I'd be called to long term missions.

The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries (hence the #11n11). The route I've chosen takes me to Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Kosovo, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia to spread God's word and His love. We will be doing any kind of mission work one can think of - kid's camps, construction, preaching in church, teaching English, working in
orphanages, and so much more.
