Re- Styled Coffee Mug

Hey, hey!
How about an easy, won't break the bank, fun little crafty project??

I give you the:
$1 Re-styled coffee mug!

Here's what you need:
Rub on decals... any kind at all, there are tons of them to choose from these days! A blank white {or any color really} mug from the Dollar Tree, and {not pictured} clear nail polish.

Cut out your transfer, and tape it around your mug

Next, apply preassure over the transfer with the included applicator {also known as a Popsicle stick, hehe} Just follow along with the instructions in the package.

When you have it all applied, it should all be smoothly adhered to the mug like
 so:

In it's current state... all sorts of things could happen to it. The most annoying would be that the rub on transfer would wash right down the drain the very first time you cleaned it.

Not so with this little trick...

Clear nail polish... any kind will do, just use what I am sure you already have.
Just apply a very thin coat and allow it to dry.

and...

Ta-Da!

I have been using this cup every day for a week
{hand washing it}
just to make sure I wasn't going to set you out on a silly craft fail. This one is a keeper!

Thanks so much for reading!

  1. Cool idea :) And to use the clear nail paint was smart.
