Spring Dreaming & Weekend Fun

This weekend was all about love, family and a whole lot of crafting. It was also just the right amount of sunny {and slightly warm enough} to get me dreaming of Spring. I started off with some "craft-therapy", I needed a little something to take my mind off the fact that Nola is away at camp for the long weekend. Oh, my goodness, I miss that kid. Can't wait to have her back home tomorrow!

{Craft-therapy} started with a Spring inspired pendant banner. I still plan to add more to it, but if you follow along on Instagram, you saw this picture of the banner that I shared there...

I made it using book pages from a book that had seen it's final days, a pretty blue ribbon, and buttons. This would be so easy to re-create for your own home..... I am not sure where I'll use it just yet, but I certainly did love making it :)

The next bit of crafting we did {this time it was Bryce and I crafting together} was painting! We painted butterflies on paper, and decorated some pretty Spring birdhouses...

I apparently couldn't get enough of painting birdhouses, so I painted like 100 of them...

Jewelry making is a part of my every day.. and this weekend it was all about the rings...

Lots and lots of rings...

And... I can't forget to say how neat it was seeing Bryce step up as the care taker for Liam this weekend. Nola is usually there to look out for both her little brothers, but this weekend Bryce was our oldest kiddo and took pride in looking out for his wild man of a little brother  ;) It just melted my heart to see them being so sweet to each other

Oh, and can I just say that this Valentine's weekend was full of some pretty awesome food too! My hubby spoiled me with with treats and cooked so much good food that I might need to reconsider what size my pants should be. But seriously, the man can cook..... and it just so happens that his wife loves to eat.

All in all, it was a really great weekend! I am looking forward to having all my little birds at home together tomorrow, and all will be right with the world.

I hope you all had a great weekend too... see you again soon
