Wrap it up....Okra Stamp Art

Last week The Tip Junkie shared a pretty cute okra stamp art project from bloesem kids.
I knew this would be a great inside project for me and the kiddos to work on..."inside" being the key word here, apparently my area of the world wanted to show off today and break some record highs for this time of year..... I don't think it's very nice to show off, I just wish the heat understood this concept....

Anyway...
Back to the project.....

Okra Stamp Art

Supplies: Okra, paint (I used acrylic) paper to stamp on

First, cut the Okra into 2 inch pieces...just make sure you cut a very flat edge so you will get a good stamping action...and remove any of the seeds just at the top of the stamp

Then...you are ready to stamp away! I used 3M brand postal wrapping paper from the Dollar Tree store to make custom wrapping paper

Such a fun and easy project to use up some of the tons of Okra we have growing in our garden.... Do you have any other fun stamping ideas?? My kids loved this so much and keep asking "what else can we stamp??"

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I'll be linking up with these great parties:

  4. Very cool idea! I don't think I have every seen okra, so I wouldn't have known that you can turn them into stamps. It reminds me of the cranberry stamps I tried out once. Stamping with food is fun!

I would love it if you'd stop by and submit this to be featured! (I link to you, I don't post your tutorial on the site) Feel free to submit as many kid friendly craft tutorials as you like! http://funfamilycrafts.com/
