Easy Flower with Fabric Scraps....

I'm sure we all have a ton of fabric scraps...I know I do and I don't even sew! What to do with all that madness??? How about a pretty little four-petal flower....

These were inspired by the one and only Martha Stewart, you can see her tutorial HERE or you can just follow along with mine....

This were so easy to make...all I needed was scrap fabric,  a petal template I cut from card stock, needle and thread.
Start by cutting out four petals, knot the end of your thread and do a running stitch (two stitches per petal)...

Then, pull to gather the petals and stitch the last petal to the first...

I made a smaller template and used the reverse side of the fabric to make a smaller flower too...I added them both to a sweet little canvas purse I picked up at the thrift store for 50 cents! And for a little more detail, I sewed on a small wooden bead to the center of each flower....

So...what do you think?? Not bad for 50 cents, right??

I'll be linking up here:
